We walk (a lot)

2 hours, 9 kilometres, 1 district.

Just when I thought I had my bearings, we turn a new corner and I’m completely lost again. A short walk turned into a long tour of my new neighbourhood and I discovered the Palace of Lichtenstein is only a few blocks away.

(Palace of Liechtenstein – now an office and a ballroom dancing hall)

(This is what it takes to hold up a church.. super scaffolding!)

(Rossauer Kaserne – Military Barracks, now housing the Ministry of Nation Defence. This building is actually huge.)

Ps. I found many curiosities on my walk, one of which was this – the Keys Against Forgetting Memorial in Servitengasse for the Jewish people who once lived on this street. Vienna is so full of history. My own apartment is more than 100 years old.
