Looking heavenward

There’s a moment when the light comes through the windows and fills the room with an almost physical awe, such was my experience of St. Issac’s Cathedral. Every church I visited in St. Petersburg had a different kind of atmosphere, a different beauty unique to that space. I am grateful that these places still exist today.

Ps. Knowing the pain of making architecture models, I have the utmost appreciation for this one. Look how they included all the statues and ornamentation, even on the column heads! That is the definition of dedication.
