A Meeting with Klimt and Schiele

Museums Quarter is becoming a regular hangout spot for me. On this week’s agenda: a visit to the Leopold Museum. Klimt is making his way into my heart as perhaps, my new favourite artist, followed closely by Anselm Kiefer. I may be behind the times in my only recent discovery of Egon Schiele, but we took this opportunity to get acquainted. Also a notable mention: Theodor von Hörmann and his very colourful impressionist works.

^ Berlinde De Bruyckere, Horses

^ Gustav Klimt, Death and Life

^ Egon Schiele, Two Squatting Men (self portrait)

^ what IKEA would’ve looked like in the early 1900’s

Ps. I’m not sure why, but isn’t this the most perfect yellow chair you’ve ever seen?
