What do you do when your bus to Pula never arrives? Jump on another bus to Opatija! The day was spent wandering along the coastline, discovering hidden swimming spots, meeting the cats of Croatia and adjusting to the concept of pebble beaches (and finally coming to the conclusion that Perth beaches really are world-class).
Is this.. the beach??
Ps. I nabbed this cute handmade terracotta rose pot for less than 10 Euro. What a bargain!

If you don’t like pebble beaches, you need to go a few kilometers further – to Moscenicka Draga. That will be for your next trip. And I hope the weather will be better. All the best!
